- Dean at the Scientific College of Design. Muscat, Sultanate of Oman,  2009-Present.

- President & University Consultant of Applied Sciences University – Manama, Bahrain in 2008.

- Former Dean of the College of Fine Arts University in Baghdad by election, 2003- 2006.

- Head of the Deans' Council of the Colleges of Fine Arts for Iraqi Universities, 2003-2006

- Professor in the College of Fine Arts – University of Baghdad, 2002.

- Fine Arts Expert for the Iraqi Republic Presidency: 1989-2002.

- Teacher Assistant in the College of Fine Arts, Baghdad University: 1988 - 1989

- Arts Trainee in the College of Fine Arts – Baghdad University: 1980 – 1988. 

 

 

Academy Award:

- First prize recipient for publishing International Political Posters in Baghdad, 1984.

- First prize winner for publishing International Political Posters in Baghdad, 1985.

- Awarded an International prize for the third composition of Political Posters, in New York, London and Paris, 1986.

- Received First Prize in the Iraqi Sculpture Festival, Baghdad - 1994.

- Awarded multiple prizes for Calligraphy during 1972 through1977 in Mosul, Nineveh.

 

 Scientific Research:

- Supervised the works of MA & PhD students in various subjects including: 

  Plastic Arts, Design, Arabic Calligraphy and Islamic Art.

- Evaluated several scientific and academic researches for Teaching Staff for pursuing

  higher degrees in their specializations. 

- Participated in numerous Scientific Conferences and evaluated their researches

  in Art.

- Participated in several meetings with the Ministry of Higher Education, Scientific

  Research Liaisons and the Ministry of Education for the development of the

  Curriculum and other educational programs.

- Published Scientific Research bulletins and various articles in Iraqi & Arabic

  Magazines and Websites.

- Published the book in the composition of Arabic Calligraphy for the Ministry of Culture

  in Baghdad, 2002.

- A reprint of the above mentioned book was published in Lebanon by Jarros Press and

  Dar Sader Press.

- Member of the elite committee for Education and Teaching at the Ministry of Education:

  2004-2005.

- Published a book titled "Art of Design, Philosophy, Theory and Application". A book of

  three sections published in Alsharjah, UAE - 2008.

- Member of the committee for Strategies in higher education, Baghdad, Iraq - 2004

- Head of the judgment panel for AlShariqa International Festival in mastering the art of

  Arabic Calligraphy.

- Head editor of the Academy of Science in Baghdad University: 2003 – 2005.

- Head of the panel for the Sixth Philosophical Conference of Art and Beauty for Islamic

  theory under the auspices of Bayt Al-Hikmaa in Baghdad - 2006.

- Member of the International conference for Arabic Calligraphy in Egypt - 2006.

- Member of the Ministry for evaluating Art Works at the Ministry of Culture: 2003- 2005.

- Head editor for the Academy of Science in Baghdad University: 2003 – 2005.

- Some of my works have been exhibited in USA, Mexico, U.K, Saudi Arabia, U.A.E, France,    Jordan, and Qatar, etc.

- Some renowned works are exhibited & remain in the Arabic Museum of Arts in Qatar and the Museum of Al-Rowad in Baghdad.
