FACULTY MEMBERS The college is staffed with a diverse faculty composed of experienced artists and distinguished scholars with rich and eclectic academic professional backgrounds who are committed to rigorous instruction and individualized, creative guidance. The faculty is further enriched by leading local artists with active careers and by established visiting designers whose presence challenges and motivates students as well as empowers them to seek and obtain their personal artistic path. Rajender Deo is a British Graphic Designer
trained in Liverpool with more than ten years of work experience in London. He
is currently pursuing a Masters Degree in Digital Arts at The University of the
Arts London, Camberwell College, which he hopes will allow him to combine his
interests in Indian tabla drumming, animation and photography. Mr. Satyabrata Archarya is a science graduate
from India with a professional degree in software programming and a diploma in
multimedia. Mr. Acharya is a creative designer who has a strong portfolio
varying from print design, web design, and branding to animation and broadcast
motion graphics. As a designer with more than seven years of working experience
in various award winning projects, Mr. Acharaya has worked for a number of
leading graphic design institutions in Muscat. Mr. Acharya is the winner of the
Pan Arab Web Awards 2005 (First place) for the entire Gulf region. Mr. Acharya
is also the winner of the Oman Web Awards 2005 (First Place).
Mr. Mohamed Kamal Ismail is a graduate of Ohio State University in the United States. He has a Bachelor of Architecture, a Masters in City and Regional Planning, and a Masters of Science in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Transportation Planning. Since, 1999, he has been the executive manager of a leading architectural consultancy firm in Muscat in charge of numerous residential as well as commercial projects. Mr. Ismail's architectural designs build upon his western education and evince a solid experience of and affinity for Middle Eastern architecture
Mr. Abdul Hameed Al Zubeidy is a fine artist and sculptor. He was head of the Department of Sculpture at The Fine Arts Institute of Baghdad. He is a member of various art associations including the Omani Association of Fine Arts, Iraqi Artist Guild, and Iraqi Association of Fine Arts. Mr. Al Zubeidy has won several awards including the Creativity Award in 1989 and the First Prize at The Babel Festival of 1988. Mr. Al Zubeidy was commissioned by the Ministry of Tourism and Ministry of Defense in the Sultanate of Oman to design and execute a broad range of designs, paintings, displays and works of sculpture. Mr. Saoud Al Huneini is a leading artist in the Sultanate of Oman with a wealth of local and regional exhibitions to his name as well as prestigious artistic awards. He received his formal artistic training in Italy and Spain as well as a formation in principles of Arabic Calligraphy. Mr. Al Huneini lectured extensively in various technical schools, ministries and artistic societies as well as received numerous commissions to execute art works for the royal court as well as other governmental institutions. In 2006, Mr. Huneini received the H.H. Sultan Qaboos' Award for Artistic Creativity- First Prize, the Sultanate most prestigious and coveted artistic award. Mr. Al-Hineini's paintings presently hang in major governmental institutions and private businesses both locally and in the Arab world.
